Taking a Global View of Eating Disorders: Some Highlights of ICED 2017

The ICED meeting in Prague in early June set an ambitious agenda for attendees, beginning with keynote speaker Vikram Patel, PhD, who described his revolutionary program of training local people to help bring psychological services to treat depression and alcoholism in remote and underserved areas in India. With workshops, panel discussions and paper sessions, attendees explored the diagnostic challenges among patients with atypical EDs, relapse, and those presented by cultural and national differences in presentation of EDs.
